FundView is an easy to use computer database detailing funding available to community
groups. The database is updated regularly and has over 600 funding schemes listed. The search
facility allows a user to select information about funding organisations using a set of criteria
chosen by the user. The Department of Internal
Affairs is a major subscriber to this database and makes it available to community organisations
through its Community Development Group. Many public libraries and Council Information Centres
also hold FundView for public use.
FundView is available on subscription, and works on Windows 3.1/3.11, Windows 95/98/Millennium or Windows NT/2000/XP,
or here at our website.
A quarterly newsletter is produced to update information and keep you informed about other
information relevant to fund seekers and funding providers. The newsletter can be viewed
online (with
Adobe Acrobat Reader) and is available
at places that hold a copy of the FundView database and is accompanied by a funding
calendar giving application closing dates. The funding calendar is best used in conjunction
with FundView.
BreakOut is available by subscription either as a Windows-based program or via the Internet.
It is useful to secondary schools, polytechnics, universities, private training establishments, sports clubs and arts schools. It assists
people who need funding to improve their skills.
Many universities and polytechnics use the Internet edition
so if you're viewing this from a campus machine, give it a try. Non subscribers
can get an idea of how BreakOut works by trying Guest Access.
It's worth checking with your local library, school, polytechnic or university to
see if they already have a copy of BreakOut you can use free of charge. Try
