Rosebank Primary gets new playgrounds

One of the upgraded playgrounds ready for action

Rosebank Primary School pupils will have two new upgraded playgrounds thanks in part to a $15,000 donation from the Community Trust of Otago.

The school's deputy principal, Mrs Pauline Taylor, said the organising committee was extremely grateful for the donation, which would enable the school to upgrade both its junior and senior play grounds.

The school has around 360 pupils. In particular the senior playground required a major upgrade and because much of the old equipment had been removed the playground had not been used for much of the year.

"A lot of new equipment would deliberately focus on pupils using their upper body elements, Mrs Taylor said".

Our thanks to Community Trust of Otago for providing this article.
