Community and Voluntary This is a hugely diverse sector covering groups and organisations involved in sport, recreation, arts, faith, political, environment, conservation, education, health, employment, social and welfare activities.
The Funding Information Service provides information about sources of funding for all those groups and we try to ensure all those groups can access the FundView and CorporateCitizens databases.
Feedback from the sector is used to develop our services and products. We get that from meeting people at Central and local government, business and corporates, funding expos, conferences and events, from phone and email contact, through formal surveys and through the focus groups we get together to give us advice on how we should develop our products and services.
We work with umbrella and national organisations to make contacts, and to create networks and information sharing opportunities.
Tangata Whenua Another hugely diverse sector involved in all the areas listed above and with whanau, hapu and iwi activities.
We are working to build relationships with Maori organisations and media that we hope will result in improving access to funding for Maori.
A survey of Maori organisations is available at our www.allaboutfunding.org.nz website under Media Centre/ newsletters/publications.
Education BreakOut is a database of opportunities for further study and personal development and over 60% are for tertiary academic study so we put a significant amount of time into our relationships with universities, polytechnics, secondary schools and wananga.
